Privacy Policy

This page is maintained by the operator of JobSync ("we", "the app") to answer common privacy questions. It describes what data the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. It is not a legal certification.

What we collect

• Account data: your email address, and — if you sign in with Google — your Google account email and basic profile.
• Profile inputs: resume text, portfolio URL, target roles, locations, and keyword preferences you enter.
• App data: job sources you add, jobs discovered for you, notes, application status, and outreach drafts you generate.
• Operational data: agent run history, error logs, and timestamps used to keep the service running.

How we use it

• To scan job sources you configure and score matches against your profile.
• To send you in-app and browser notifications about high-fit roles.
• To draft outreach messages for jobs above the outreach threshold.
• To operate, monitor, and improve reliability of the service.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your resume or profile content to train third-party foundation models.

Third-party services

To provide the service, we share the minimum necessary data with:

• Lovable Cloud (Supabase infrastructure): hosts the database, authentication, and backend used by the app.
• Google Gemini (via Lovable AI Gateway): receives your profile summary and job descriptions to produce match scores and outreach drafts.
• Google Sign-In (optional): if you choose it, Google authenticates you and returns your email.
• Public job boards (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby): we fetch publicly listed roles from sources you connect.

Data isolation

Every record in our database is scoped to your account. Row-level security policies enforce that only you can read or modify data tied to your user ID.

Retention and deletion

Your data is kept as long as your account is active. You can email us to request deletion of your account and associated data; we will remove it within a reasonable period unless we are required to retain it for legal reasons.

Your choices

• Edit or remove your profile, resume text, and portfolio URL any time in Settings.
• Pause or delete any job source in the Sources view to stop new scans from it.
• Turn browser notifications off in your browser settings.
• Request account deletion by contacting us.
